Aimed primarily at children, this engaging and entertaining book aims to answer the kinds of questions that adults themselves would like to ask other adults.

Artists ask questions when they make art, and viewers ask questions when they look at art. This gently provocative book offers young people an engaging way to start asking and answering questions for themselves. Why is art full of naked people?

It is structured around 22 questions, each addressed on two levels. The first invites the reader to study a live image of an important work of art. The second shows a selection of works on the theme from history, investigating how art can achieve extremely different ends from a common idea. The tone of the text is informal, youthful but not irreverent.
