The spaces of MUDEC

Agora

The Agora is a fluid and luminous space, a symbol of the meeting of cultures, whose design welcomes and surrounds the visitor as if in a veritable cloud. A covered plaza that during museum opening hours introduces visitors to the exhibition spaces, but after hours lends itself to a very high level of customization according to the client’s specific needs.

Auditorium

On the second floor of the museum is the Auditorium, a two-hundred-seat theater that lends itself to hosting conferences, corporate meetings, and workshops. It features a Foyer in which welcome coffees and cocktail receptions can be provided in passing. The Auditorium can be accessed completely independently from the rest of the museum through a dedicated entrance from the Hall.

Mudec Lab

The focus on education that has characterized the museum since its opening takes the form of a permanent space dedicated to educational activities, home to activities reserved for the youngest (but not only) audience to travel across cultures. Families and schools, but also companies and groups of adults, will be able to discover multidisciplinary paths, themed visits and interactive workshops designed for different age groups and carried out under the banner of active participation and experimentation, as well as moments of pure fun with Mudec Parties, themed birthday parties for children aged 6 to 11.

Innovation Center

The space was created from the recovery of the industrial archaeology complex of the Ex Ansaldo area. An open space without internal subdivisions and structural elements, accessible directly from the Mudec courtyard. Lighting is guaranteed by the double exposure on Via Tortona and the internal area of the Museum. The space is not deputed for public entertainment events, but can host commercially oriented activities with direct sales or private events behind closed doors.

Design Store

The Design Store has established itself as a reference for contemporary design trends. It draws inspiration from the permanent collection of the Museum of Cultures by collecting different types of objects: from jewelry and accessories to books and the most iconic pieces of furniture by the new masters of design. A Wunderkammer that aims to intrigue its guests and visitors to the museum, within which it is possible to create corners dedicated to the display and sale of the client’s products, offering the opportunity for an exclusive showcase for individual brands.

Enrico Bartolini at Mudec

Multi-starred chef Enrico Bartolini runs the 3-Michelin-starred restaurant at Mudec. Enrico Bartolini’s resourcefulness, research, innovation, perseverance and balance are well reflected in his cuisine. Ristorante Enrico Bartolini can be rented exclusively for dinners and lunches for up to 42 covers, with quotations to be evaluated together with the manager on the basis of the service required and the period.

Mudec Bistro

The Bistro directly overlooks the Mudec courtyard through large opening windows. The space, divided into three areas through the two side wings, can host dinners, aperitifs and refreshments, offering the possibility of being customized and branded according to the specific needs of the client or event. The venue, managed by Enrico Bartolini’s facility, can be rented entirely when the museum is closed, or partially during museum hours, using the two side wings.

Art Wall

The Mudec Art Wall is a space dedicated to photography and contemporary art located within the spacious spaces of the Bistrot. It is the perfect space to host photography and art projects designed by and for companies to communicate and enhance their brand image – among the great photographers who have exhibited in the Mudec Art Wall are Steve McCurry and Denis Rouvre.

Parking

Mudec is equipped with a large underground parking garage that is active 24h. Customers have the option of reserving parking spaces for their events, subject to the capacity of the parking lot for the day in question.

Exhibition production

With decades of experience and hundreds of valuable projects under our belt, we are one of the leading players in Italy and Europe in the production of major exhibitions. Spanning themes and historical periods, we create projects from scratch or decline them by adapting them to the specifics of the exhibition context.
