24 HOUR Culture Comics
A brand designed to explore new avenues at the intersection of art and comics. Since 2023, we have been collaborating with established illustrators and emerging young talent to visually narrate the masters of art history and contemporary issues.
2016 is a watershed year in our history as publishers: our first foray into the world of graphic novels with the title Frida Kahlo. Amoral operetta in comic strip form. by cartoonist Vanna Vinci turns out to be a publishing case with more than 25,000 copies sold in Italy and 30,000 abroad, translated into 5 languages and the subject of reprints with extra content. An experience that led us to want to continue experimenting with proposals that position themselves at the convergence of comics and art.
In 2023 the 24 ORE Cultura Comics brand was born, which a year later boasts collaborations with important national and international illustrators, including established artists and emerging authors: in addition to Vanna Vinci, Maicol & Mirco, Hurricane, Silvia Rocchi, Laverve and many others.
The volumes of the new line are divided into three series: The Great Artists dedicated to the masters of modern and contemporary art, told with a disenchanted and sometimes ironic gaze; Visionary, in which young authors confront topical issues with a new language; and the comic book guide series 24 Hours to. in which cities are seen and told through the eyes of illustrators and cartoonists in their most unusual and lesser-known aspects.
