Franz Kafka. Frammenti nella notte

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka’s death, Otto Gabos commemorates the author in this Graphic Novel with an unpublished theatrical fifth: Zürau.

In the months he spent in this Bohemian village, in fact, Kafka wrote more than a hundred aphorisms. A little-known work, it is composed of reflections on life, death, and grief, which give a surprising key to interpretation and offer Otto Gabos new blood to dialogue with the work of one of literature’s most celebrated masters.

Otto Gabos, author, cartoonist and lecturer. He has been publishing as a professional since 1985. In addition to writing and drawing, he teaches the Comics and Illustration Course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. Former author for 24 ORE Cultura Comics of the graphic novel “Francisco Goya. The Temptation of the Abyss,” his works have been published by many different publishers and and has received several awards, including the Andersen Award as illustrator for the best editorial series, “Revolutions.”

OTTO GABOS – Cartoonist, illustrator and author, lives in Bologna, where he is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts. He began his career as a cartoonist on the famous comics magazine Frigidaire, where Italian cartoonists pioneered new styles of comics. For 24 ORE Cultura he published “Francisco Goya. The Temptation of the Abyss” (2023).
