Maria Dek – Polish author and illustrator, she lives and works in Bialowieza, in the middle of Europe’s oldest forest. Maria uses the traditional watercolor technique to create her original, fun and expressive illustrations. She loves playing with the absurd and stimulating the reader’s imagination, inviting them to enter her favorite place, the unexplored world of nature. The author of several internationally successful books, Maria leads illustration workshops for children throughout Europe.
